A new road safety pack has been launched in the UK aimed at reducing the number of young drivers involved in roadside accident .
The Vispack contains five high visibility reflective vests to be worn in the event of a vehicle emergency. It also includes an essential information card for drivers to record important medical and emergency contact information about themselves, along with roadside assistance contact details.
Nick Mills, managing director at Vispack, said, "Having been unfortunate enough to have witnesses several roadside collisions over the past three years, I suddenly realised that most road users only realise how vulnerable they are when its too late and they are in a crash situation."
"Every young road user who values the safety of themselves and their passengers should want to take this inexpensive, simple precautionary measure to ensure a Vispack is on board," he added.
"Unlike many of the other deciding factors a young driver might not look at when choosing to purchase a car, its not about looking cool, its about staying safe."
According to official figures, one in four drivers killed on UK roads are under the age of 25.
Experts believe this statistic is due to a combination of younger motorists taking more risks on roads and having limited knowledge about what to do if they are involved in an accident .
